Mallory Challis
Minister to Children and Youth

Mallory is an NC native who holds a bachelor’s degree from Wingate University, an M.Div. from
Wake Forest’s School of Divinity and was ordained at FBC-on-Fifth, Winston-Salem. She is a freelance journalist and is most inspired by the stories she gets to tell of sexual abuse survivors
and their lives of healing post-trauma. Mallory enjoys hearing people’s stories, going on nature
walks, reading-for-fun and sourdough baking. Her sourdough starter, “Georgina,” is over 150
years old. She doesn’t drink caffeine but will always say “yes” to a coffee shop outing if there is decaf espresso, good pastries and a friendly conversation partner.
